Kenney ‘humbly’ asks immigrant voters to support Tories
Harper’s spokesperson on immigration issues Jason Kenney sent out the following email today. I found the tone of it a little peculiar, as if the Tories are smelling that something’s wrong — like, as if new immigrants are drifting away? I found this press release (??) a little puzzling, as if it’s coming from nowhere.

In the midst of this important election campaign, I want to share with you a few remarks by Prime Minister Stephen Harper at a recent meeting with ethnic media in Toronto:
“There has been a view amongst some that if the Liberal Party lets immigrants into the country, then those voters owe their support to the Liberal Party. That has never been the view of the Conservative Party. The view of the Conservative Party is that if you immigrate to this country, you owe your loyalty to this country. Not to our party. And it is our party’s responsibility, as is the responsibility of all parties to go out and earn your vote on an election by election basis.” — Prime Minister Stephen Harper (Toronto, September 16, 2008)Over the past two years, I have been honoured to lead the Conservative government’s efforts to build a genuine relationship and dialogue with Canada’s cultural communities. Our government is accessible, we have listened to Canadians, and we have delivered concrete results on a range of issues that matter to people.
As Conservatives, we do not take your vote for granted, and I am humbly asking you to vote for your Conservative candidate on October 14. Your vote will help to return our team to government so that we can continue to fight for you, your family, and your community.
It has been a great honour to serve you, and I want you to know why I think the Conservative Party deserves your vote by including below a recent speech from the Prime Minister (link here). Thank you for your support.
Best regards,Jason Kenney

Don’t let Tories’ sweet-talking, a few perks and compensations rectifying historic wrongs fool voters into supporting the Harper gang. See through all their “Show and Tell” stuff, check their track records (poor and unimpressive, to say the least !!!!). Then make a choice in a smart way on October 14.
