chinktalk,

In the guestbook section, I posted a story about "Kick a Ginger Day". I was watching the Global news coverage (on fairchild tv), and there was a white "victim" kid in the interview explaining why he was victimized at school ... He explained it very well (much better than the way I usually say it). I hope you can find that video. They say it ONCE--so much more "powerful" than an immigrant boy like me say it A Billion times.

Maybe that is just what it takes ...

chinktalk,

"I look up to the former slaves like the Jews, Blacks and Quebec French people. If you look at how they have overcome adversity and become valuable members of society, we the Chinese should learn from them. HKboy, you are my brother and I will support you as a human being. I might not agree with everything you say, and you likewise on my positions, but constructive debate if good. I will defend your right to free speech."

Thanks. That's why I am here--to show you from this regime's brainwash. Although, I have to admit, it is hopeless if you grew up here.

Imagine if there was a new found historic Irish/German/English sites in the interior last week, would someone say the the "Caucasian" community must come up with its own fundings for the protection of these sites.

Google "Fundraiser canned on claims disease affects only whites"

HKboy - "Slave servitude mentality … I mean, it is just like reflex, all those years of growing up in this regime’s racial role and racial consideration."

Admin - I would love to help but my only knowledge is from anecdotal recollections from my grand parents, the old timers and my parents, I am afraid most are not scientific and most likely impossible to prove. I think the best are from the old timers and the Aboriginal elders, they have first hand knowldege and could point out many good leads, unfortunately many of them are no longer with us.

You know what I think?

This will become another "victim-like" ending like those sacred indian burial grounds.

Mark my words.

"Given the present financial turmoil, it is time for us all to pull together to help all Canadians to attain financial stability. The Chinese community must come up with its own fundings for the protection of these sites."

i agree with bill chu that what the gov can do right away is to order a moratorium, which doesn't cost much, if any. once we have that "basic protection", we can go to the next stage, which is, in bill chu's mind, to get fund raising or donation from the community to set up scholarship or research fundings. we need to have the academic input to authenticate these sites. this is a long term project that we may not be able to see finished in our time. but it's important that we start working on it.

chinktalk, we are doing a lot of research on this topic. i may need the help from ppl like you and david wong who might have more knowledge/experience than us in looking up chinese genealogy :)
