Taiwan Pride
From what I gather, this is stilll Asia’s only pride parade?? Taiwanese should be proud of themselves.

Taiwan Pride isn’t the only pride parade, even though it is the biggest.
Within East Asia, there are pride parades in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Osaka and Sapporo. There are also pride parades in several Indian cities (Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai) as well as in Manila and Tel Aviv.
Why is it a proud thing to show off one’s sexual orientation? If people gets vocal about their moral principle such as respect for animals rights or their dietary choice for vegetarianism; that I get. Telling the world they’re homo…? Sounds like someone’s trying to tell me with a stiff neck sticking out that he’s got a fetish for women’s legs and is proud of it… ha ha
hehe, there are all kinds of birds in the forest.its song may know a bird:)but it’s a complete mystery to me why grossly inflated their intimate details about their homosexual.there is nothing to show off by demonstrating against traditional beliefs.a little boring….
Mihai Husar: yes, indeed. just read that hk had its pride this past weekend too. and the theme of it is impressive: that gays and straights walk together hand in hand.
dn, taikor: by “showing off intimate details” pride events show that gays are no different from straights. :) it helps the skeptics to understand these ppl aren’t monsters nor do they do witchy, weirdo things. it’s all public relation. with more exposure and linking pride events with positive images of inclusiveness and celebration, it’s all about positive publicity. it’s better to let some ppl feel bored than to let discrimination — hidden or outed — thrive.
oh well then, that explains it :P
