About

I’m an editor of a Chinese language newspaper based in Vancouver. It’s always my belief that the Chinese community needs an English medium to tell others what this community thinks. This dream was partly realized when I found out there was a new medium called blog.

I have to stress that the opinions I express here are those of mine and mine only. They have nothing to do with the newspaper that I work for and they don’t meddle with my professional judgement at work.

Some of the stuff I include in this blog are my rants, some are translations from the Chinese media, and some are news clippings that I think are important or interesting enough to share. Until some multimillionaires dare to start an English newspaper that reports on the Chinese community, I hope my humble effort here could help people better understand this community.

I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I came to Vancouver to study university in 1984. Vancouver is my home now.
